About Us

Dr. Keren E. Dolan is a doctoral-level clinical nutritionist, Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), registered herbalist, educator, and researcher whose work bridges traditional herbal medicine with nutritional genomics and systems physiology. She is the developer of Herbalomics™, an integrative framework designed to support practitioners in thinking more clearly about individual variability, metabolic patterns, and herbal responsiveness.

Keren’s professional background includes advanced clinical training in medical nutrition therapy, functional assessment, biomarker interpretation, and nutritional genomics, alongside extensive study in western clinical herbalism and aromatherapy. Over time, her work has evolved to focus not only on clinical application, but on practitioner education—particularly how scientific insight can be integrated into herbal practice without losing nuance, context, or discernment.

Herbalomics™ emerged from years of clinical observation and study, exploring biochemical individuality through a modern clinical lens to better understand why individuals with similar presentations often respond very differently to nutrition and herbal support. Rather than privileging any single explanatory model, Keren’s work holds traditional pattern recognition and contemporary physiology as parallel and complementary ways of understanding the same underlying terrain.

In addition to clinical practice, Keren is an experienced educator and mentor. She teaches graduate- and doctoral-level courses in clinical nutrition and herbal medicine at the Notre Dame of Maryland University School of Integrative Health and Northeast College of Health Sciences, and she has published peer-reviewed research in areas including chronic illness, probiotics, and botanical therapeutics. She also mentors practitioners independently and through The Nutrition and Herbal Collective.

Keren is a Board Certified Nutrition Specialist® (CNS®), a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist in Maryland and Illinois, a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition, and a Registered Herbalist (RH[A HG]). She previously served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the American Herbalists Guild.

The Herbalomics™ platform—including courses, mentorship, and a forthcoming book—reflects her ongoing commitment to supporting practitioners who value rigor, humility, and care in their clinical and educational work.
